How do I change my Company Name?

It is really straight forward to change the name of a UK Company. You are able to change a company name electronically or by paper.
To allow us to make the changes electronically we require the company authentication code. If you do not have access to the authentication code we can apply to change the company name by paper.

What do I need to change my company name?

To file the changes by paper, we will require the following:

• Existing Company Name
• Company Number
• New Company Name
• Signature from Director
• Signed Special Resolution – we will send to you once we are in receipt of your order

How long does it take to change my company name?

If we apply for the company name to be changed by paper, we have 2 services which you are able to choose from. Please see available services below:

• Standard Service – 5-10 Days
• Expedite Service – 1-2 Days

What will I receive once my company name has been changed?

Once your company name has been changed and accepted by Companies House, you will receive a Certificate of Change of Name. This is an official certificate that confirms the following:

• Previous Company Name
• New Company Name
• Company Number
• Date the Company Name was changed

The original certificate will be sent to you by post.
