CFS Formations are currently in the process of updating our online systems in line with the new ID Requirements with Companies House.

From the 18th November 2025, it will be mandatory for all UK Directors and PSCs to verify their identity pre-incorporation. All existing companies will have a 12-month transition period from the 18th November 2025 to verify the identity of all Directors and PSCs within the company (this will be completed on the next Confirmation Statement filing).

As CFS are an authorised service provider (ACSP), we are able to verify your identity on behalf of Companies House and from the 17th September will be implementing this into our UK Company Formation and Shelf Company process using our third-party partner, SumSub.

SumSub are able to electronically verify your identity in as little as five minutes – once you place your order, any individual required to verify their identity will be invited to upload a copy of an ID Document, Proof of Address document and perform a short liveness check (similar to a selfie).

Once the ID Verification with SumSub has been completed, we will handle your identity verification with Companies House. Company officer’s will be required to provide their email address (that must be their own personal email address) for their appointment, which we will provide to Companies House. Once the ID Checks with Companies House are complete, the officer will receive a unique identification code that can be used for any future incorporations and/or officer appointments.

When completing our online order form, if the officer has already verified their identity with Companies House, they can enter their Unique Identification Code.
