What is Administrative Restoration?
If a company has been dissolved by Companies House (usually due to the late filing of the yearly requirements) and you would like your company to become active again it will need to be restored back to the Register of Companies. If the company has been dissolved by Companies House, we can apply for it to be Administratively Restored back to the Register of Companies.
To be able to apply for Administrative Restoration, the company must have been:
- Struck off the Register by Companies House
- Dissolved for no more than six years
If the Director applied for the company to be voluntary struck off the Register, we can apply for a Court order to allow your company to be restored back to the Register. Please contact us for further information.
The Restoration Service includes the preparation and filing of the relevant forms with Companies House and also the Treasury fees. If there are any outstanding filings or penalties we can advise of these additional costs and deal with any issues on your behalf.

How long does it take for a company to be administratively restored back to the register?
Once we have obtained a response from Companies House regarding the outstanding requirements, we will communicate with you and inform you of the outstanding filings and penalties.
Once we have all the relevant documents for the company restoration, it usually takes around 7 working days for a company to be restored back to the Register of Companies.

Do I need to file anything else at time of Restoration?
Along with the restoration of the company, you are required to file the following (if applicable):
- Confirmation Statement / Annual Return
- Accounts
- Any outstanding penalties
Once we have received your restoration order, we will speak to the restoration team at Companies House and obtain information about what is outstanding for your company.
